If I remember correctly, the instructions I followed when I brought mine home was to set it up in a dry location and spray it down with water real well and let dry.

Interesting. Maybe I will just set it up in my yard and let the sprinklers hit it and then dry.  :chuckle:

That is all that is needed. Don't touch the canvas or seems with any sealant.

After I got mine, saw a good soaking rain foretasted. Set it up, it got soaked, no leaks. Let it dry out the next couple days, done.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

These come pre shrunk so there is no need to water it IMO.  Now if you buy a new wall tent that is not pre shrunk you soak it good, let it shrink....repeat 2-4 times and not worry about it again.  Canvas will stretch over time so you can always water it to shrink it back up as needed.  As for waterproofing / treating the canvas....it comes pre treated so just set it up and go.  We hunted in Idaho for 6 days last spring and it rained.....we stayed very dry.

My Springdale that I just got has been up over a week and we have had some stupid rains a couple of days ago and hasn't leaked a drop... Just waiting for a couple of nice days so it will dry and I can take it down.

If it was posted on here before I didn't see it. Any thoughts on Deluxe vs VX - windows are always nice but I worried about zipper durability.

It will be used the least during Aug/Sept due to harvest, and used the most Oct-June. I was kind of leaning towards the deluxe given that. June/July I'll typically be 5k or above, so it's never really that hot, nor do I spend much time in the tent during the day anyways.

I scooped one up a few months ago, deluxe and don't see a need for the other windows

Has anyone had this happen?  It’s the same on the other side; didn’t notice until a couple tree frogs made their way in during a thunderstorm one night.

Never had that happen in all my years of using mine.
I'd give the company a call. Their customer service is good. Or at least was, haven't called and chatted in a long time.

Calls went nowhere but they were pretty quick to respond via email at first but after pictures and the problem they responded a week later telling me to take it to a boat shop. I asked if it was covered under warranty last week but no response.

For anyone interested, the company does not consider it a manufacturer defect so I’m having it repaired locally.  Great tent and hoping for many more years of use

So, what do you feel caused that?  Did the poles get pulled out excessively?  Did you stake the centers out super tight before installing the poles?  I can't really see any scenario causing that.
