We've got two dogs and two young girls (1 and 3) and we don't have enough time, so my wife wants to get rid of one dog. So I'm hoping somebody will take Rudy, my German Shorthair, and take him hunting in the fall. He's eleven so he's only got a couple years left in him but he lives for birds. He's from field trial stock so he can be a little hard to control as he's never been fully trained. He'd be a great bird dog for somebody with more time to spend working with him. I used to take him to Southeast Wa. every year for pheasants and we killed a lot of birds. But I haven't had the time and he hasn't been hunting in 3 years. He's a good house dog, in fact he prefers to spend all of his time in the house as he does not like being cold. I have to say he's not the best people dog because really all he thinks about is birds. Not that he's mean or anything, he's trustworthy around little kids, but he's just not a real friendly dog in the way that a Lab is. He did have three months of professional training before he was a year old, then after that no more training other than actual hunting (yes because I'm lazy and didn't take the time to do it.) Anyway if anybody is interested reply here or PM me. I will try to post a picture when I get a chance.
