cleaning mounts

Has anyone used the product Velvaklean from Velvet Antler Technologies to clean their mounts? Or know of another product that gets good results? I have several mounts that need a good cleaning.

I have heard just a damp cloth and wipe down. Not soaking just damp. I’ll have to ask my taxi about this as I need to clean mine up as well. Keep us posted

My Taxi recommended showsheen (for horses) removes dust and leaves them shiny without being greasy. Worked great on my bear mounts

I used the VelvaKlean to clean the mounts. It was $29.99 plus shipping/handling for 12oz bottle. It also included a cleaning cloth and a two sided brush. It was a pretty simple product to use, spay the mount, wait 5 min then wipe down and brush. I was surprised how much dirt came off. The product has a strong citrus odor, it didn't bother me, but the wife opened the windows for a few minutes.  After cleaning 5 deer and 1 elk mount the product was almost used up. I can probably clean 3 mounts with what is left in the bottle. It is recommended to be used every 6 months and could also be used on bird mounts. I would recommend the product, but if there was something else/less expensive I would try that too.

I have several mounts and have always used a damp washcloth. I clean them every 3 months so the hair shines like they are alive. Does not take much dust to make them dull

Regular ol hair conditioner mixed in a spray bottle with water works well too at a fraction of the cost of those others.
