Got my Oregon spring bear.
« on: April 22, 2020, 01:14:35 PM »
Fun adventure with my wife, buddy, and Buddies GF. We both had bear tags but sold the trip to the ladies as a nice little hike/adventure/nature walk and not so much as a bear hunt.

Anyways we had a good day and when we were finally back in the drainage that was just above the truck my friend spotted this bear. She was small but had a pretty coat. I'm not a bear expert or a trophy hunter so I figured I better fill my tag while i had the chance,  so I did.

NICE!

I've been on a few causal hunts with my wife that turned serious pretty quick.
Fun times.

Love your pics.

In the main Imnaha drainage id estimate snow level at 4400 ft. That was on the 18th. Too.

450 yards. Uphill angle. First time I've ever wanted a bear to roll to the bottom and the first time they didn't...figures.

It's awesome country! What a great place to grow up! I'm good friends with a guy that grew up there and went to school in Joseph as well. Hes early 30's, named Clayton. Know him?
