Spring Turkey License
« on: April 29, 2020, 02:56:08 PM »
Hello, I'll be heading towards eastern Washington next week for the turkey opener. I really prefer buying my hunting licenses at a dealer rather than online with wdfw. Given so many business closures due to covid-19, does anyone know of businesses open who sell hunting licenses, say, starting around Cle Elum and heading farther east?
Thanks.

I can't think of a license dealer that wasn't essential....

Fred Meyers
Gas Stations
Wal-Mart
Sportsman's
Gas Station

And I will be that guy to say that you should really buy it as close to your home as possible. The whole point of us having been shut down is that we would "stop along the way". Don't show them they were right the first weekend.

Thanks Avid, you'll get no argument from me On that, but finding a place in the Seattle area that sells hunting licenses might prove interesting. There's a Wal-Mart in Renton, I'll check that out.

Baldopepper, I'm going all the way. I normally buy my hunting license in the Wal-Mart in Clarkston.

Oh, I only know a couple places on the way towards Colville. Big Wally's in Coulee City seems to be up and running and I know they do, but probably not on your way

Never mind, I found a place that sells in my area. Sorry to waste bandwidth, I thought everything was closed up.

My Turkey hunting buddy never would buy his tags at home always on the way.And he never carried cash only plastic. Stopped at Republic one year for his tags. They didn’t take plastic. I ended up fronting him the cash till he found a atm.

Wasn't trying to be rude by any means. And it seams you took it in stride. My buddy is in your same boat so I've been looking for places for him to pick one up. Listed the places we found that were selling them. Fred Meyer is often over looked and it suits well with an essential trip for "groceries".

Clarkston though... you hunting my spot?  :chuckle:

Well, born and raised here in Seattle, and at 66 I recall a time when it was more hunter friendly, but sometimes it's pretty difficult to find anything to do with hunting. I was amazed to find my local Big 5 open and selling licenses (Northgate store). You might want to mention that to your friend.

Yep, I'm headed right to your spot😉

There's a hardware store in Cle Elum that sells licenses. Cle Elum Farm and Home Supply I think it is. You should be able to pick up your license there.

WDFW is not currently printing or mailing licenses.  You need to print a temporary license yourself.

Buy it online and print And keep driving past Cle Elum  We have had only 14 cases and no deaths like to keep it that way
