Moon phase
« on: April 29, 2020, 10:02:41 PM »
So I'm planning my bear trip to Idaho for June and I was looking at the moon phase calendar on GoHunt. Does anyone know if bear activities are influenced by the moon phase? Less or more active?  I"m starting to read Saylaen's book again, but I don't remember this being in there.  I appreciate any input.

A lot of mumbo jumbo out there about deer movement and moon phase, but tracking collar data has proven time and again its all nonsense.  No matter what youre hunting, get out there and try.  Animals dont stop being hungry or horny based on moon phase.  Go get em

Oh, I'm definitely going. I was just wondering if moon phase made a difference. I plan on spending 2 weeks trying to get my first bear to fill up the freezer.

2 weeks it will happen. Time in the woods is way more important than timing the moon.
Boy I might be able to make money off of that one! Better yet I'll add it to my avatar.
