My son's bird from this morning. Called it in to 30 yards or so. Lots of gobbling going on this morning.

The pass two weekends were really productive for My cousin and I. We got our limits opening weekend. This last weekend we bombed over the mountains and we got my step kid his first big kill on a great tom with a epic hunt that he will remember for a long time.

Took my nephew over for his first turkey 2 weeks ago.   We had some at roost in the morning but they flew the other way.   At lunch at camp,  I was training him on how to use a slate call,  and this Tom came to camp.   Shot 80yds from my truck,  42 yd shot.

Well I decided to take the time to head north east to a county I could fill my second turkey tag before it ended. The birds were almost silent. Very minimal gobbling but they were coming to the call... silent though so I screwed up a couple chances with them coming behind me. Ended up shooting a jake that I saw across a clear cut. He gobbled once when I called the first time and came the rest of the way not making a noise
