Nice. 400+ pound bear is a tank. Mine was probably just over 300 with the guts in and mine was hard to maneuver by myself so I am sure that was impossible to move with one guy

Nice. 400+ pound bear is a tank. Mine was probably just over 300 with the guts in and mine was hard to maneuver by myself so I am sure that was impossible to move with one guy

It took me an hour Just to wrestle it onto a cart and had to call for help to get it into my truck. But I really wanted to get it home to weigh it. I killed a big one in 2016 that was 5’ 6” that was probably 300-325 and I though that was hard to get moved..

Got my personal best bear recently. Weighed on digital scale gutted 390#. Hide 7.5’. Haven’t cleaned the skull yet.

Total of about 40 pints of rendered down bear fat.
Congrats!  What a toad!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Neighbor just came by and saw a black bear two nights ago just across the street from me. Would be sweet to drop one 5 minutes from home.
