Spent a few days chasing muleys in the run in the Owyhee's last year. Definitely not impressed with the deer numbers there nowadays. :twocents:

Awesome info I am not looking for huge. Just a solid buck will always work for me. Nice to know the big ones are around but if I can get a solid 150/160 buck that will be just fine by me. I talked with the bio and got a bunch of good info. Seemed like a strait up guy. The moisture this year is way high for a lot of areas and horn growth should be killer this year. I have about 30% chance this year so I tossed my name in that hat so we shall see.
I don’t believe the moisture for that area is way high, again I drive through there 4 nights a week, never chained once this past winter, and barely any rain this spring.

In 19 there was 2.52" for jan/feb/march and this year for the same time frame is 5.01" so double what there is normally. 18 was less then a 1" in that time frame. I haven't been to the area just going off the posted numbers. So hopefully there will be some solid growth.

Sweet "IF" I get lucky. I normally don't in the draws. I'll have to check in with ya and see if the spots I am wanting to check are some of the areas y'all were in.

Find the remote chukar areas of the unit and youll find some good bucks.  I know some guys who chukar hunt it every year on the opener and they always kick up a good buck or two.

Have to hook up with them and Ill pack the shotgun with 00 buck :chuckle:

We used to hunt that area 10+years ago.  Got in good with some great landowners.  We had free reign of their property, I hit a buck in the 180+range that was never seen by the locals. last time I ever shot steel force broad heads  Miss the area and may have to go back!
