Following. I sure hope they open at least some stretches of it again. We got spoiled there for a little while and now I don’t know what I’m gonna do if they don’t.

I hear ya, my wife and I had our first summer in 33 years w/o a kid at home so we camped and sturgeon fished. My wife tied into her first one last year. We ended up catching 113 of them. From 8ft down to 15". We had a blast.

I am not familiar with the Kettle Falls fishery but people have been bank fishing sturgeon in the lower river for ages. I don't see why it couldn't apply up there. Just a matter of identifying spots to target.

That’s pretty awesome! How are you putting them up, do you fillet them or cut into steaks or? Forgive me if it’s a silly  question, wouldn’t be the first  time I said something dumb :)

Ive heard mixed things about sturgeon palatability, but a friend gave me a nice chunk of sturgeon fillet last year and it was really damn good.  I need to figure out how to catch one of those suckers.

pretty hard to beat sturgeon for white meat fish, no bones, firm and tender. Can be cooked so many ways

Thing of beauty. Its been a few years since Ive fished sturgeon. May have to try to get 1 on the next opener over here. Love smoked sturgeon. Poor mans lobster, pan fried, and any other way!
