Yep I got one ! I can set as a single door or as a double door with conibear triggers in the middle. The idea is having a duck or chunk of beaver hung from the top of the cage and connected to the trigger as a ambush set . Caught one cat and it was a juvenile female that probably would have went in any size cage as she was pretty small

I won a Comstock double door cat trap at our Rendezvous a couple of years ago and it catches cats (and otters) very well!  I caught two cats and an otter in it this year.  I bought three more of the newly improved model (locking rings are joined with a bar so you can't forget get to set them to fall) in a nested set this year. I called and spoke to Jim directly to make sure I got the three cage discount and the savings on shipping.  For a baited set I keep one door closed and have easy access and plenty of room to hang a large chunk of beaver meat in the back.

Yes, very good and you could get them powder coated for a little bit more.

Bruce Vanderwort's double doors are also excellent.  His "B.O.B." (Beaver, Otter Bobcat) Traps feature a Conibear type trigger and can also be used under water for beaver and otter.  Bruce's BOB traps are COLLAPSIBLE so you can get way more of them in your truck and they are more easily manpacked. Shipping for Bruce's traps could be almost zero if you picked them up in person.

Do they have spring loaded doors that are recessed?

I'm not sure what you mean by recessed.  As you can see from the picture, Bruce's BOB traps have doors with very strong springs and they open and close from the inside.

I've tried my traps set for bobcat with both doors open and I do not see an advantage over just using one door. It sounds like a good idea but in practice  I have not caught more cats with both doors open.
