Beautiful bear!

Beau Olson is on the ridge away from us and seeing bears, this heat made us drink more than half our water, hiking out after a morning hunt and hiking a different ridge.  Plus we can fill up w water at the truck. No bears seen today so far.

Get one of these for your pack.  Well worth the money, especially hunting in the heat.  https://www.campsaver.com/msr-guardian-water-purifier.html?_iv_code=Z65-WTF-MSR0557-252265&gclid=Cj0KCQjwudb3BRC9ARIsAEa-vUsxacGR1BUazsfmOyAlJwVAety93DG7BCB0gNTyIaSW2E_ZVIvLOQQaAjwXEALw_wcB

Thanks bango, I have a filter, but the area I’m in is just one of those spots where water is too far.  We are heading home now without a second notched tag, but I’m sure my new hunting partner learned a ton this season. I did have a bear 50 yards below me yesterday morning, decent bear.  But my partner didn’t answer his phone, had to go get him and by the time we got back, the bear disappeared.   No epic ending to this hunt, we had a blast.  Not sold yet on over the counter for spring bear, but they could easily double the amount of bear permits in the blues, saw over 20 bears in 13 total days.  Thanks for tagging along and all the great responses, appreciate it.
