What’s the point of a deadline if you can still submit a week later with a phone call

Should the hunter suffer because wdfw is slow ro respond to inquirys for changes? The what if game. What if it was simple. You waited too long to change your mind and missed the deadline. Next year you won’t make that mistake and everyone sees results a week to 10 days earlier every year I feel like its good on wdfw for accomodating people while still consistently getting results out before they say they are going to. Not really sure why people expect them to happen instantly when wdfw always shpws they will be done before the end of june. Its just not that big a deal.

Afterwards it should be tough luck. Again the app submission period alone is a month. If that’s not enough time to get your stuff figured out I’m not sure you should apply in the first place. Why would someone wait until even the week before? You know when the deadline is, you know that WDFW is going to be busy that week, you know that this is a bad year for communication due to this virus, and you know how not to be “that guy” by getting your apps done on time. But yet some still fail. I don’t get it and the excuses can be endless when dealing with people who can’t comply with simple directions and deadlines they’ve missed.

If you can't handle that maybe don't apply
Simple fact is ZERO states do draws in a day. In fact wA is among the very fastest at draw turn around. There are checks and balances that need to happen. If they didn't and there was a glitch then all you same complainers would be lighting the torches and grabbing the pitchforks. And come on Adam, 3 months isn't enough time to figure out a hunt? You drawn plenty of tags in the past and I don't remember you not being able to hunt any of them because draws weren't out in time sounds like some are just looking for something to complain about. If draws taking 3 weeks is your biggest issue then count your blessing.
And just to clarify, I'd also LOVE to have draws in a day, but it's not happening anywhere in North America so blasting wdfw, who are some of the most efficient, isn't very fair. I'm max points for deer and oils LabChamp

My point was giving additional time after a deadline to make changes seems unnecessary given that we have ample time to read the regs, do our research and submit our apps. As for the 3 months, I work a job that has multiple deadlines throughout the year, one of which is July 15th and one is September 1st. The earlier I know my results, from any state I apply in helps me balance my workload and make a plan.
