It’s my first year in 20 years of hunting ever putting in, this will be my wife’s 3rd season and I put us in together as a group, so at least we can have some points. She shot her first deer This last season and now really is motivated to hunt.

I have a couple of questions. How does a person get selected to be a witness?  Does anyone know who was selected this year? It appears that some of you know how it works.

Maybe WDFW will give me something for my birthday the 11th. I think my odds of drawing a Washington moose tag is way up this year being I already have a Colorado moose tag in my pocket .
I'm sorry to say, it's going to be my Birthday gift on the 19th! But best of luck on your Colorado hunt!

I'm going to start checking tomorrow. I think tomorrow is the first day it could realistically happen. Last year it was on a Wednesday (June 12.) The two years prior to that it was on Thursday.

I'll wait for all of you guys to check multiple times over the next week or so. Then I'll go figure out what OIL tag I drew after you guys post on here the results are up.  :chuckle:

They need to do away with more then one choice. Pick a area.  Everyyear I meet guys who drew some unit they never hunted before and are disappointed.  Takes time to learn a new unit.

with that logic then nobody should be applying for any of the OIL tags or most of the quality deer and elk tags. Hell I apply outta state in multiple states in units I have never stepped in

Westsiders get drawn first, then what is left goes to the east side guys since they hate the coasties so much.  I've worked that out with the brass at wdfw.

Well bad news again.

The Sheep tags just tested positive for Covid. Testing the moose tags now but its highly likely these tags will have to go back to phase 1 and wont be allowed to hang out with people that aren't in their immediate family.

Hate is a strong word. But I don’t see what you think is changed with your statement. That’s the way it has always worked.
I “help” (and by help I mean point directly at the moose they should shoot) coasties every year and very few locals can draw the tags. Guess it helps to have 10x the people on your side of the state.

Shouldn’t be a problem for me. I can’t draw a tag anyway.

Inslee has a conference call with Newsom later and will get further directions on how to proceed.  We'll hear about it during the Phase 3.5.3-A weekly press conference.
