Kelly hill spring bear help??? asking for a friend
«

A buddy drew Kelly hill spring bear. He doesn't know the unit at all. If anybody is willing to share any info, tips or a good starting point that would be much appreciated! Thanks

Times passing. Rumor has it bears are out and dying. Any forest road is a good start.

Ya, get on some public and hunt
Tons of cnf, iep always has bear.
East side of the unit has more bear I think overall, but all of it has bear!
Dang shame to let a tag goto waste, locals like me with 4-5 points woulda loved to have that tag coulda filled it numerous times already

Why is he hanging on the ceiling? Or should I ask why you are hanging from the ceiling? You get hung up climbing out of your loft? Tangled up in the ladder.
Nice bear 🐻

He would be on the pole if I had the permit. Shot mine with the camera.

270 both members gave you some good information. Unless you are hoping for an exact location. That is only true while the bear is standing in it's tracks.
I'm sure Ghost does have a tag in his pocket and will put it to use this fall. Since this is KF's back yard he sees a few bears when he is about, but just because there was a bear in this cut today doesn't mean it's there tomorrow.
I could out this tag to use also.

I recall several cuts that showed no bears for 2-4 lengthy glassing sessions only to reveal multiple bears on the next session. Here today, gone tomorrow, none today or the next, here tomorrow. Just like finding whitetail, you have to be there at the right time and that time can be the day you cant be there or are two cuts over. Never hurts to have a bit of luck to go along with the effort.

Usually asking for detailed info for a stranger and then bristling up towards anyone who comments without an X on a map is gonna be a bad approach. You catch more Bees with honey right?

Lots of peels and torn up stumps and logs out there. Find fresh sign then find the best spot close by to glass from
