I figured I would start a thread for the June 1 opener.  I'm not sure if I'll hit it on the opener but weather permitting for sure sometime in the first week or so.  I can't remember, is it good from the beginning or does it get better over time?  I've caught several but haven't figured it the way a bunch of other people have.

Got the boat ready all weekend, finally got the other Scotty 2106 downrigger mounted, boat cleaned and organized! I’ll be hitting it rain or shine!

The bubble opens June 1 too, so that's another option.  It seems like that fishery has been getting better earlier last several years.  I guess it depends on whether a guy wants good odds at small fish or longer odds at bigger fish.

Seems like the earlier the better as you are getting a crack at more fish with less gear drug across their faces!

Last year we had consistent action in June with the best days aligning with sunrise and tide change within 30 minutes or so of it.

I've never had any luck at the bubble but there's always people fishing it so it must yield some kind of results.  I'll probably end up flipping a coin to figure out where to fish.

It beats work for sure.  Not many fish are caught on most days and it's only open Friday through Monday at noon.  It is the only chinook game in town so it has been getting a bunch of boats in the last few years.  When I started fishing there would be a handful and now there are dozens which is actually nice in that you can get an accurate idea of how many fish are getting caught.

It usually starts out red hot but the fish are small.

Tulalip Terminal Area salmon fishery changes

Action: Opens salmon seasons in Tulalip Terminal Area Fishery.
Effective date: May 29 through Sept. 7, 2020.
Species affected: Salmon .
Location: Tulalip Terminal Area – waters west of Tulalip Bay and within 2,000 feet of shore from the pilings at Old Bower's Resort to a fishing boundary marker approximately 1.4 miles northwest of Hermosa Point and not including waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.
Rules: Salmon open 12:01 a.m. Friday through 11:59 a.m. Monday of each week. Chinook - min. size 22". Other salmon species – no min. size. Daily limit 2. Release all coho.
Waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point are closed to all fishing.
Reason for action: Low expected returns to the Snohomish River necessitate the release of coho. This fishery was agreed to with comanagers during the 2020 North of Falcon season-setting process.

Hopefully bigger than a kokanee, my family said they are done with that gig so I'm going solo unless I switch gears.

So in short, no Coho at the bubble?

No, 8-1 & 8-2 are closed all year for coho.  You can keep finned or no fin chinook though.

Right, no Coho in the bubble.  But note that it opens Friday, May 29.

No, I'm looking at Friday as well.  If weather holds I'll either be there or the bubble.  I've seen a few bubble fish posted but I haven't seen anything from 10 yet.
