Just came in from yellow buoy area, caught and released  2 nice Chinook and had another on but no Coho, only about 10 boats out and didn’t see another fish caught! 😧

I've heard numerous reports and seen pics from Meadow Point just north of Shilshole for anyone down in that neck of the woods.  Unfortunately, that's a horrible fishing commute but if you live nearby it sounds like it has been very good fishing.

Took D Rock and a guy from work to MA10 this morning. Slow start then a good bite about an hour after tide change resulted in 3 dead and one lost. Ground it out and picked up one more on the incoming, weather was great so we kept at it until the high exchange and ended up with a quick last 2 to round out limits. All were stuffed with krill to the point it was running out of them when we dropped them in the boat. Early fish came from 40-60’, last 3 were around 80’. Squids, spoons and naked herring all claimed victims today. Bonus was getting to play with my new Islander and rainshadow I wrapped this week!

Are they all 3 pounds still and how long does it stay good fishing?  I'm thinking of taking the kids and may just wait until crabbing opens.

It should still be good then, we caught them into august last year. They are between 3-5 lbs. Our smallest of the day was about 21”, biggest was about 24”

Fishing gets better in August and September.

It gets much better when you can keep the nookies, but for some reason they become harder to catch that day.  From what I have been hearing, knock on wood, the chinook fishing has been surprisingly good where it is open in other places.

Way to grind it out! Thanks for the report.

We were out in MA 10 yesterday and brought home 3 coho, lost a handful more. Had a nice king on and played him for awhile before letting him go.

Action really started about 10 AM and then ran into a nice group after the other boats began to vacate the area around 12:30~.

We hit 10 on Friday and hooked into 4 in about 90 minutes of sub optimal fishing, about half way through outgoing.  I didn't see too many nets and plenty of boats.

I also hooked 2 copper rockfish 50 feet off the deck trolling mach 2 as well as one fish that I've never seen before, looked like a rockfish/bassy looking thing with no spines at all, but not a greenling.

I also seemed to find the softshell hotbed again this year, over 2/3 of the legal sized ones very soft but a few keepers as well.  Looks like I need to finally abandoned the place and search out some new grounds.

I been hitting 11 pretty hard.  Its still slow.  Had a couple of decent days, but it just isn't as hot as it should be.  13 has been a ghost town for my regular spots.  Hoping the fish are going to show up soon.  Normally by now I have nearly filled a punch card.  I have only punched 3 chinook, and lost a few dandies.

I fished around northeast 10 early this am from meadow to Richmond beach, no birds, no bait, no shakers.  Then crossed over and found a pile of coho off Jeff Head and was done by 7:15. Loaded up and went to 8-1 for crab. Just got done cleaning. I’m tired.

First for me today, large framed two point blacktail floating dead just east of deception pass. Very curious what happened, he was a nice buck!
