went out yesterday with my dad. first thank you to the big camps that were in black canyon during modern for all of the split firewood. came out with a pick up load. saw  moose sign all over. went up a few more canyons but not seeing much till just about 330. its like they just all of a sudden decided diner time. had two bucks located with 13 does. one i would really like to get a shot at come the 25th. watched another buck with two does just as we were making our way out. i would guess he is 24 to maybe 26 in . we could see he was a big 3x3. we did see a couple of white tails but way low and no bucks. we had two white does cross in front of the truck right before rest awhile fruit stand. two more weeks cant come quick enough.

Lots of action - long story short we have passed many smaller bucks and missed a wallhanger yesterday - just having a blast and hoping to get another chance at that big dog and weather is coming soon

Quick update from my dad and me: we've been at it for a few days and will be here through the end of season. Have seen one nice nontypical 6x5 that I was able to get my dad on yesterday. Unfortunately he missed at 300 yds. Good day for glassing today. My dad is in Elderberry, I'm working around to the Lookout then going to glass into Ben. Saw one 24" 4 pt this morning. Not big enough for this tag and he had busted off the front left fork. Looks like we have a lot of weather coming.

We are 2/4 so far, no monsters but what a good time - wish we could do this hunt every year
