Huckleberry A early season ANY BULL MOOSE tag holder looking for pointers and good starting spots

Hello I’m new to the forum. I’m looking for some help on where to start my hunt. Looks like there is a lot of timber land not sure if it’s accessible or if I need permission or a permit? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks! Season starts Oct1-31

Honestly your best bet is to just spend a few weekends and drive the road systems. Cover as much ground as possible. Mark a few spots you see sign, then come season pound those areas. Can do a bunch of scouting via google earth. Look for moosey type areas and check them out.

The only timber company that requires a permit is Inland Paper Company. Some timber companies lands are closed. Hancock is a big landowner in 121, they are open to hunt.

Vaagen Brothers is off limits too from why I've been told. But plenty of ground otherwise. Go scout, you've got lots of time.

Yes, Arden Tree Farms is no trespassing as well I think. But hancock and Stimson make up the majority of the company ground up there. Get onx hunt app.

I drew the B tag, antlerless, in the same area. I will let you know if I see any bulls, please let me know if you see any cows without a calf. I was planing on waiting till Aug and then making a few trips over there scouting/and bear, cougar hunting. Thanks to all that are giving advice. I was wondering what lands where open and what lands where closed. I also have the onx Wa chip for my gps. Thanks for any help, ideas or info. I am still in shock, I am going to be going on a moose hunt this year
. First in my life, and most likely only time (with the way draw odds are).
