Just finished probably the most exciting, frustrating, amazing, and realistic hunt of my life. I was seeing average of 150 deer a day, with 25-30 of them being bucks. I was hunting a unit that took me 14 years to draw. I wanted to kill a true trophy buck but was realistic in what I was willing to shoot. I hunted for 7 days with the help of my son and one of my hunting partners. I passed up bucks every day looking for the ONE. I actually missed 3, with 2 of them being true trophy bucks. Well today, I was finally able to find a buck and make it happen. I dont like to post this kind of stuff, but it really meant a lot and was able to do it with my uncle Bob McMillan in my pack. He made me a knife this year, which happened to be the last knife he made, as he passed away from cancer in October. I had help from people on other forums and from friends of friends. This was an amazing experience and can't wait to do it again. Good hunting and good memories to you all.
