Good luck tomorrow guys, should be good.  I forgot if we can hunt grouse in there, anyone know for sure??  I imagine if so we'd have to use steel shot?  I'll have my CB on the channel they post by the gate if anyone see's a big buck and don't have a tag, my dad's year started out great, hope to keep it going.

Absolutely NO grouse shooting.  Just bear and cougar besides whatever you got drawn for.

Thanks, you’d think there would be grouse every where!  What if I use a stick?  I might have done that before on grouse!  :chuckle:

I used to hunt up on top of the watershed by Lester for grouse. Never wen t home empty handed. I think they try to limit the amount of shooting in there for safety reasons. They will have thirty plus shooters in there for deer and elk.

Good luck guys, I'd love to get in the shed to help someone for a day or two, let me know if you want another set of eyes.  I'm close to the border.

We are the Muckleshoot, or Muckleshoots.
Calling us the Mucks.
In my eyes that is the same as calling
Black person the "N" word.
Or a Caucasian a *censored*.
I may get kicked out for voicing my opinion
but at least some will see this and understand
What I am saying..
Thank you have a great day and enjoy the hunt.

Well, we have had many conversations with your tribal members on here, never had an issue w the word muck.  It’s an abbreviation, sorry you are so offended but people being offended is part of the problem these days.  Buck up, call me what you want, I won’t be offended.  Besides, I find tribal rights VERY offensive, I’m sure you don’t care about that?  I apologize for sounding like an azz

:chuckle:  If you really thought you would get kicked out for explaining an offensive term, why would you join this forum?

FYI - no mod in this forum would ban a guy for that post lol

Who's hunted Green River 485?

Well I was the member who got lucky this am. Got to the gate we wanted to be about half hour before shooting light. We stepped out and my hunting bud let out a bugle. Almost immediately we had a response and he was very vocal. Got back in truck anxiously awaiting shooting light.  At light we slowly walked down road and bugled a couple times. Each time a bull responded. We got closer and bull just kept bugling without us even calling. We got within a couple hundred yards of where we thought he would be. Then he popped out behind some brush along with a pile of cows. It was still pretty dark even at shooting light so wanted to make sure he was a shootable bull. I had one clear shot once I saw he was a good bull but he had cows behind him. Waited for them to clear but then he went behind some brush. Buddy called again and bull steps out in small opening. Waited again to get a clear shot and make sure he was the bull. When I saw it was I took a shot. He was hit good with first shot and didn’t go far but was slowing walking through trees.  I had to take a couple more shots to get him down. 7:07 am on opening morning. Can’t complain about that.  He is a 6x6 but one point busted off. Thanks everyone for tips.
