GO HOME!"Those types of posts you mention always intrigue me, there's not a lot of critical thinking occurring because non-resident tags have been capped for many years, there will no more non-residents hunters this year than there was 5 or 10 years ago! The truth of the matter is that there are more resident hunters as more and more people move to Idaho. The only real way to limit the number of hunters in Idaho is to cap resident tags!Don't shoot me, I'm only providing commonly available information!

So if everyone goes there could be more non residents there this year than last because zero have been purchased by the residents.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The state of Idaho is doing a stellar job of marketing their tags.Sending out an e-mail a day wont keep the non residence away!!!!!!!!
How long has it been since they sold out on all non res archery elk tags?? I don't remember this happening before, it was going to be an automatic tag this year if we didn't draw anything in WA. Not now, that sucks!

Is there anyway to find out who's got what and how many? Just start making calls?
Elk Zones (Including capped zones)You can contact most any outfitter in a zone that you want to hunt. Elk Controlled HuntsThere is a list of the controlled hunt units and how many outfitter tags for that unit in the regulations. You can get on the state website to see which outfitter to contact for the unit you want to hunt in.

Are those still only available to apply for with an outfitter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unless there is something new I'm missing.nope and has been that way for years. You use to have to call and tell them what tag you wanted and they put you on a list and come august depending where you were on that list you got called and asked if you wanted a tag. I was called last year for Elk city. This year has changed and everything will go up Aug 13 online that are left over from the unsold outfitter tags
