What is the average snowfall where you guys leave your cams over the winter? And how much activity do you get compared to the rest of the year? The places I have a couple get to much snow for any activity so I just pull them in Nov.

It’s all year dependent. Some cams are buried for two months then start working again as soon as the snow melts. You’d be surprised at what you see in mid jan with 3-4’ of snow. Area dependent on winter activity as well. Some cams I get nothing for 4 months. Others I have critters moving the whole time, year round, no matter the conditions.

For me its mostly Bobcats and bunnies all winter. I get anywhere from 3-6' of snow. But what is nice is when the snow starts melting and the normal critters start showing up before I can get to the camera's. I had a sow and 2 cubs on cam this year in the middle of April in about 2 ft of snow. Some does in January in 3-4 ft of snow. Was probably rock hard cause they weren't sinking.

Overwinter cam pics, older Bushnell with 4 Kirkland AA, 32g card, cam high in tree, 6500' elevation, 9months in tree, only snow pics from late December till the wolverine came thru. (pic 2)
Check out the snow level difference, dates are correct.
