Open sight for Remington uml
« on: June 27, 2020, 08:14:09 PM »
Curious opinions on best sight options for a Remington uml, looking at globe and Williams. I’d like to be able to shoot 200 yards for sure. Thanks

They finally came out with a front globe that attaches directly to your barrel (no bs ramp w/dovetail) I have one, you have to buy it with a rear peep (unfortunately) but this front globe with a Picatinny rail mounted rear peep is definitely the best option available. I’ll try to find the specifics.

Last year I used the SeeAll sight, which, near as I could tell, was marginally legal in WA.

I was comfortable out to 200 yards with it.

This year I’m going to try the Williams Western Precision. It’s personably the one that was just mentioned, as it screws directly to the barrel.

Which model of the UML did you get? The Bells and Carlson version provides some special challenges because of the high cheek piece. I’m guessing that might be the one you have, since the other Version comes with iron sights.

I’m looking to buy one of these Remington ultimates. What kind of 100yd groups do you guys shoot with these with peep sights?

Touching or nearly touching. My gun is definitely as accurate as my eyes are.

I get a few inches at 100 yards with 4-5 shots.  No cleaning or anything in between.
