Scope ring height help
« on: June 27, 2020, 11:17:21 PM »
my new rifle came with a 20 moa rail and I'm trying to figure out what height rings I need to buy for a 44mm objective lense.
My new rifle is a Christensen arms with carbon barrel. And I know that might provide clearance issues I'm not familiar with.

I have the rifle waiting at the gun shop. My darn background check got delayed. And my scope wont be here for a week. I'd like to get rings in that time frame. And not have to wait to take measurements

Any help is appreciated.

You should be able to use any low rings for a 44mm obj lens. I run a 50mm obj lens with low rings on a 20 moa rail.

Enough clearance but not enough for the NF bikini covers. Had to notch out a small section to fit those.

Of course I did. 44mm is tiny and he will clear with no problems.

I’ve got the Christensen Ridgeline (carbon barrel) and the 20moa nightforce direct mount MEDIUM rings with a 56 objective scope and have no clearance issues. I would think you can do LOW no problem.

It’ll be different if you have a 1” tube vs a 30mm.

Take into consideration how far back/forward your scope will be for your specific eye relief. Although, I'd bet the Low's will work for you, I'd wait until your scope came in and take it to your gun store and verify Low's will work on your rifle before purchasing. Even though your paperwork has been delayed, they will still let you have access to your rifle at the store. Also, certain brands of Low rings are lower than others as well. :twocents:

Low rings will work fine. You can always return/exchange if by some crazy chance they don't.....
