I did not really start seriously hunting until my 40's and helps to have buddies or mentors to help keep you motivated and learning. Hoping you can get a good group together and get in some time in the hills, looking forward to a success thread from this later in the year
Hell yeah! Glad you guys had a great trip!Unsolicited advice time bucks are gonna bed shortly after sun up. They will usually transition to a secondary bed or change positions at some point throughout the morning. After about 10 they will be hunkered in pretty good for the day. If you aren't glassing right at first light those bucks are gonna get hard to find. "Spot glassing" open areas is gonna be really ineffective mid day clear through evening. Get those binos on a tripod and dissect those pockets of bedding cover near food sources. If your binos are in your hand and not on a tripod you are missing deer. Keep us posted on your next outing
