Tulalip Bubble
« on: July 13, 2020, 03:51:57 PM »
Anyone having any luck in the Tulalip Bubble so far this Season?  My first year keeping boat in Everett Marina and I see about 100+ boats trolling over there with very little fish coming over the rail.  This combined with the small area and nets that get dropped on the Northern portion just make it seem like a pretty undesirable location compared to other areas of the Sound.  Is it just so busy because it is the only game in town or am I missing something  :dunno:

I don't fish it but I heard through the grapevine that there have been some good days this season. Its always been a known and popular fishery and will draw a crowd. From what I've heard it fishes better in the early part of the season. I would suggest focussing on Possession and Point No Point after the opener on the 16th. Much better odds and more space to roam.
Fish hard, hunt harder!

It's there or MA7 if you want to fish for chinook and it's a short run from Everett which means there will be plenty of people there.  I've caught a few, I usually fish it once or twice a year.  Some guys get it pretty dialed in, it's a terminal fishery so they behave differently than in other places.  It does seem hit and miss, with the wrong tides or if the tribe cleans them out it can be pretty slim pickings until new fish move in.

Interesting and makes sense on the Terminal Fishery.  Is it best fished on a high tide in the morning?  Tried quite a few different setups and marked a lot of fish in there but didn't seem like anyone was getting hooked up including myself.  Gave it a try waiting for Area 9 to open up so was just curious.  Appreciate the insight and good to know some people are having success there.
