After this is stated in the laws it says: Unless traps are checked every 72hrs or 24 hrs depending on the type of set. I have not trapped or hung a snare since it was outlawed . That seems pretty open to interpretation to me.

That WAC applies to all traps other then bodygripping traps. Even that is not the actual language. Here is the actual language.
(b) Unless kill traps are checked and animals removed within seventy-two hours.
(c) Unless animals captured in restraining traps (any nonkilling set) are removed within twenty-four hours of capture.
Bodygripping traps are  illegal except with a Special trapping Permit. The conditions of the permit set the check time which is 24 hours on all Special trapping Permits.

I know, but that's not how it reads to me. It says you cannot use them "Unless " B&C.  Which is basically the way it used to be.

The wording of of trap check law  was adopted before bodygripping traps were outlawed. It did not change but the trap you are using has to be a legal trap to use. There were traps illegal to use prior to I-713.

All of the provisions of Chapter 4 have to be met. Notice the subheadings under (4), (a), (b), (c).
(4) It is unlawful to trap for wild animals:
(a) With body-gripping traps without a special permit from the director.
(b) Unless kill traps are checked and animals removed within seventy-two hours.
(c) Unless animals captured in restraining traps (any nonkilling set) are removed within twenty-four hours of capture.

I know the what its suppose to mean but kill sets mean conibear or drowning sets and restraining sets to me mean coyote traps (foot hold) to me. And a special permit is needed to use them (UNLESS) B&C

Make sure to have an attorney on a retainer before you start trapping! Lol it will take a lot of beaver pelts to pay for that court case...
