Mt. Spokane south moose hunt 2020
« on: July 19, 2020, 06:57:01 PM »
Drew the Mt. Spokane south cow moose tag. From what I read on previous posts is get the paper companies permit for road access to lots of land. Never been to the area so any pointers for the area or any other advise from anyone who has hunted the area would be much appreciated.  For most part I've read do lots of driving and you should just be able to come across one near the road. But would be helpful if there were some map points for the areas that tend to have a higher population for a good area to start in the morning. I will be checking out the weekend before opening cause I live on the other side of the state. But anything helps.

Seen this guy. First good chance at shooting a moose and of course it had antlers so I shot with my camera instead through my binos.

Best of all it was taken on our first all family hunting trip. Daughters first time out on a hunt period.

Seen 9 moose in the area and 4 that were across the way into mount spokane north area. They stand out well even at a distance when moving through a clear-cut. Thanks everyone and yes nothing better than sharing such a monumental hunt with your family. That's what it's all about. That and a full freezer full of great quality meat. I hope you all have an opportunity to have a trip like this with one of the highly sought after tags. You and anyone with you won't ever forget it.
