Cresting Hunting Arrows
« on: July 28, 2020, 10:10:22 PM »
Saw a few youtube videos of using white spray paint to put on cresting.
Although not your typical work of art it does seem like a quick way to add a better visual for hunting arrows. And not needing to strip vanes off in the process.

Anyone try this?

Thanks

I think you're referring to the crown.  I use spray paint for the crown.  The thin stripes are called the cresting.

Thanks treekiller. The crown it is. I can see your arrows were painted prior to fletching. The video I saw was done after fletching. Not as pretty as your arrows.

What type of paint did you use?

Thanks

I use Krylon. They sprayed AFTER the arrows were fletched?  I'll have to look that up, seems kind of bass ackwards.
