Black or Grizz?
« on: July 27, 2020, 02:03:10 PM »
Was looking for stuff to do in Helena MT while my wife is at a bridal shower this weekend. A sporting goods store had a link to a bear test and this one has some debate... Figured I'd ask the experts here  :IBCOOL:

I got 100% on the WA bear test... this particular bear, not so much

I would say black bear also, although there are a couple features that look Grizzly like.

Whatever the heck he/she/it wants to be. Who are you to judge? Maybe it wants to identify as a turtle.

I was heavy on grizz, but they pointed out the non-dished face. That with the light white chevron on the chest and no hump... that's a BIG BLACKIE!!! Those claws look pretty darn long, until you look at grizz claws.

edit: I mean turtle, vandeman17!

The top pic looks like there's a hump to me so I said Grizz, maybe it's an illusion.

Brown-black bear.  :chuckle:
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.
