Dont say black any longer. It is a "bear of color"

The top pic looks like there's a hump to me so I said Grizz, maybe it's an illusion.

Don't rely on the hump as an identifying feature. All bears have shoulder blades that have the potential to protrude up looking like the hump you'd see on a grizzly.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Compared to some pictures online...it sure looks like its possibly a grizz. That would be an absolute giant for a black bear...if you have to question what it is then probably shouldnt shoot it.

Ears too close together and no dished face.  It’s a shooter black bear 100%
https://www.howlforwildlife.org/take_action  It takes 10 seconds and it’s free. To easy to make an excuse not to make your voice heard!!!!!!

I agree it's a blackizzy bear which means it is not a Grizzly.  :twocents:

A coywolf is not a wolf and a grey squirrel that lives on the west side is not a Grey squirrel.  :twocents:

A black tail deer on the east side is a mule deer and not a black tail deer.  :twocents:  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
