Daughters first bear

We got together with Brandon at Cascade Mountain Outfitters on Wednesday to start our 4 day hunt. Wednesday started out with a bear at 35 yards. My daughter just couldn’t get into a position to make a shot before the bear left. We hunted hard for the rest of the day and then Thursday we had the same bear at 200+ yards. Daughter couldn’t ever find it in the scope as it was moving around pretty good. Friday morning we decided to go straight in to where we were seeing this bear. Brandon walked out of the timber to the bear at 20 yards away. The bear moved out a little ways and we made a move across the top of the cut. After watching this bear move around for probably 45 minutes my daughter finally got into a position that she was comfortable and had her cross hairs on the bear at 100 yards. She let her Savage 7-08 bark and the bear did a jump and roll and only made it 20 yards. Left a blood trail a blind man could follow. The bear was tagged and collared back in 2017. We are waiting for the maps next week. This was the absolute best hunt I’ve ever been on and I can’t say enough about Brandon. Anyways, here is some pics of my 10 year old’s first bear.

What a great hunter and a proud dad, no doubt. Well done, young lady.
