Alaska travel
« on: August 14, 2020, 07:31:01 PM »
Is anybody headed up to Alaska with the travel restrictions for COVID? I’m heading up next Monday and need to get a COVID test within 72 hours of landing up there. Has anybody done this recently?

My buddies have been going up to AK a few times and are getting tested somewhere in Bellingham. I can get the info if you need it.

I got test last week, super simple...took like 2 days for results

Testing again the 25th and flying to AK the 28th

Doesn't sound like too big a deal

They have a new on line portal you have to use. Test within 72 hours or quarantine.
A few local places like Walgreens Tacoma have free test and same day results but you have to make appointments on line.

You can call around to different clinics or urgent cares and find one that does rapid testing.  Get results within 15 minutes.  Otherwise 2 to 3 days for results is the standard, where most clinics send samples off to labs to get tested instead of doing it themselves.

Flew into Sitka today. Make sure to have the Declaration Form and test results with you.  No hassles if you have that.
