Lil' Titans 'Hunt for the Future' Charity Fundraiser Help!
« on: December 04, 2020, 02:13:58 PM »
Years ago I became apart of an event that is one the most fulfilling experiences I am honored to be involved with. TitanOutdoors has the annual Lil’ Titans ‘Hunt for the Future’ that selects 10-14 kids, ages 9-14 for an exotic ram hunt in eastern Oregon. Kids are chosen through a video essay selection process with emphasis on youth that have the desire to hunt, hunted but have never been successful, or going through a rough time or disability. Selected youth come with their parents and/or immediate family members and stay for three days at Four Aces Ranch with catered BBQ every night and events such as treasure hunts, skinning/game processing lessons, shooting instruction and even hunter safety classes and certification...all free of charge! It’s one the most fun experiences of the year for me and we’ve seen families come back just to help out. It’s also incredible seeing the tremendous impact this event has made on some of these kids lives. The exotic rams harvested are mounted up by several taxidermists, including myself, also free of charge, and presented back to the youth typically in January at the annual banquet/fundraiser.
HERES WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Due to Covid restrictions we cannot host the annual banquet fundraiser for the 7th annual event which is where a large majority of the funds are achieved through this 501c3 charity.
I’m asking for your help! Here’s the deal- I’m offering a raffle, which will take place on December 24th. Tickets are $5 each with ALL proceeds going to the chairity. What’s up for raffle you ask?!! FOR RAFFLE IS A DEER SHOULDER MOUNT, to be completed in under 6 months with NO EXPIRATION DATE for use! I’m booked up solid and no longer accepting new clients but this doesn’t matter for the winner! I will even throw in a BlackRiver Taxidermy sweatshirt to the raffle winner.
HOW TO ENTER- stop in (call first) and purchase at the shop (preferred) OR mail a check with your name, address, and phone number to BlackRiver Taxidermy (address on our website and Facebook page), I will call you to verify correct info and ticket count. Final option is to get a hold me for PayPal options or card payment via phone, etc. ALL entries MUST be received by December 23rd, no exceptions. Winner will be announced the afternoon of Christmas Eve and notified via phone as well via the Facebook site.
Again, tickets are $5 each, the more tickets you buy the more your name is entered! If you have no use or desire for a shoulder mount but want to donate, I will take those too! Let’s make this happen and send another great group of youth to the hunt this year!
PLEASE SHARE THE HELL OUTTA THIS!!
Contact me if you have any questions and if you want to know more about possibly entering your youth check out Titan Outdoors!

They need to be age 9 at the time of the hunt (March). If they are 8 now that's no problem.
Look at the Titan Outdoor page and YouTube channel for examples of video criteria for submittal for the video 'essay'. We are looking for some creativeness in their submittals. Criteria, again, is kids that have an interest in hunting but don't have the means (either financial, parents not sure where to start, or other), kids that have hunted but NEVER been successful, or kids with disabilities or going through a tough time in life.
The goal is to 'spark' that desire in the outdoors, primarily through hunting and with loved ones. We've gotten criticism before for taking them to a 'ranch' in where people say "that's not real hunting". However, I can tell you this is no canned hunt, the terrain is rough and the animals are very aware you are pursuing them. Furthermore, we are looking for success for these kids, and this it the place to help stack the odds in their favor for having that experience. Best of luck if you have a kiddo that you know would like to apply. Let me know if you have any other questions.
