Buoy 10 Salmon Fishing
« on: August 20, 2020, 08:12:55 PM »
I went down to Buoy 10 and filmed for three days of fishing. It was a lot of fun to be out on the water and see all the people in town to chase salmon.

Appreciated this Guzman!  Brought back some memories. I had some good times on that fishery when I lived Astoria and Long Beach, but it's been a long time.

It was pretty crazy watching that ship come in with the coast guard clearing way.  We were A little west of Chinook when it came by us.  We were talking back and forth with your boat Friday and Saturday.  Pretty good fishing those first couple days!

Good video, great seeing those smiles on peoples faces!

I hadn't been down there for a few years until the opener this year.  It was interesting to see how the 360s have become very common now.

Fished buoy 10 hard during the early 80's and 90's.
Man it was good and fun.

How crowded is the Deep river launch these days?

Not too horrible this year.  I got there early and had basically no wait.  I'm sure it gets packed at times though.

I'm headed down Sunday evening to fish off the North Jetty all week. I usually get one at least every other day. Also, crabbing with a snare can be very good.  Very pleasant camping, Cape Disappointment State Park Site D202. Swing by and say hello.  (I'm just hoping they don't restrict campfires!)

Probably should change this out of the waterfowl thread too.
