Primos Bow Sling

Has anyone used one of these?  I am thinking of getting one for when I have to hike in a long ways or for when I am packing out an animal but was wondering if they were any good.  Thanks

good sling.  I picked it up a year ago, but don't expect to get the sling off in a fast time period.  It will defiantly beat holding on to the bow, while walking out of the woods.

they are okay, IMO I used one half the time on my back country idaho hunt, personally I like my bllcks creek guide gear pack that has the bow carrier on the back, its more compfortable to me

I have one love it, it is great for long hikes in. And it beats having to put your bow down everytime you want to glass. My friend gave me *censored* about it all the time.

I use some paracord and tied a couple of small loops onto the top and bottom of the riser.  Then used the strap of an on gym bag.  I only use it when hiking into and out of the area I hunt in the dark.

Crunchy hit it on the head. They work good walking in and out in the dark. Whatever you do,don't try to use the primo's sling and ride a bike at the same time. The first bump you hit the strap will slide leaving a 3 inch burn on your neck..just trust me on this one

i have one and agree...they work well for the walk in and out, but as soon as i get anywhere near the area i plan to hunt or it gets light out, it gets put away. i also use the bow carrier on my eberlestock pack too.

When Elk hunting I use it all the time, works great. When I am covering ground and locating bulls I have the sling on, but as soon as I get a an answer or find a bull Im going to work the sling  is off. I wouldnt use it for deer hunting unless it is in the dark as stated above.

We had a strap off of an old camera case that I put a couple of loops on both ends. Use it to hike up & down the mountain only. Works great.  Does the Primos have the built in String / wheel cover ? I always get twigs & crap in my wheels & cables / strings. I'm going to get some small stretch cover to protect, would such to mess up an opportunity because of twig between cable & wheel. Mike

My strap does have the cam cups so everything is protected.

I have one and it protects your bow but it doesn't work worth beans while wearing a back pack!!! And it would take to long to remove it for a quick shot at game. While you were hiking in and out. If you watch the primos guy's use them they don't wear backpacks. I have used mine once!!!

I use mine with a back pack always and works perfectly fine for me. Lets see, I was using it on my permit hunt and it never let me down ounce, maybee I just figured out how to use it ??

I bought one when they first came out. I like it the only down side is all the snaps. But if it keeps my bow from getting messed up then I am happy with it.

I've had one for a couple years now, and don't how I survived without one. The snaps and stretchy cord at the end are kind of a pain so I don't use them all the time but I have also dropped my bow two or three times  because they weren't snapped and strapped.

I have never used the snaps that go along the bow string.  I have also never dropped my bow.  Maybe I'm just lucky.  I just uset that draw string on each end and cinch it down tight.  That way if I have to real quick like take the sling off since it's elastic all I have to do is pull it off.  I can do it in about 1 second. 

And like you said I don't know how I ever lived without it.

I love mine for the hike in and out. The further I travel, hte more I like it.  My friends gave my grief for it this last elk season, but the grief stopped when their arms were tired and mine weren't.
