Newbie to the forum, but have enjoyed reading all the posts in years past,. After 18 years, my hunting partner and I finally drew the Nook this year (Rifle). We were up last weekend scouting public land and trying to get they lay of the land. Not much different than the terrain here is SW Washington and used to the brush and hills. Get the key to private 9/19 and will be up scouting every other weekend starting next weekend. We hear private is the place to be but not opposed to being a boot stomp-per to get the job done either. Prefer the spot and stalk method anyways. With the chance at my biggest bull ever in my lifetime, wondering if anyone who has drawn this tag before (or not) are willing to pass down some classified info to a fellow hunter. Yes I know all about the big bulls at "No Tellum Creek" but considering this tag is really a once in lifetime opportunity maybe someone is willing to pay it forward. Also looking for a place to put a trailer to limit drive time and after a hard hunt, talk about it maybe over a camp fire during happy hour!
