2020 Washington Roosevelt Herd Bull
My first elk

He had 3 cows with him. I was solo and called him close before his cows called my bluff. I charged in using the bull calling cows bugle which enraged him forcing him to fight. He circled me and a quick cow call got him to stop and turn broadside for a quick 28 yard shot through the brush for a double lung shot. Couldn't be happier with my first elk.

Set the bar pretty high with your first elk, might not top it for many years. Congrats

DIY public land.  1st time hunting this area but it was a lot of fun to figure out!  Hard to pass up a freezer filler.  #tagtofreezer

You should have that bulls age estimated. What does it's teeth look like? Just a unique looking rack!

Good question.  He had a decent body but was a pretty small main frame 5.  I will check the teeth (still have it waiting to do a euro) My guess was 3.5 rather than regressing.
