Really great buck! Anyone know if that would be considered record book material?

Not real wide, but P&Y... I'd be curious!

Without even knowing the numbers, I'd say that buck was P&Y Book for sure.  From memory, it's something like 115 or 125 inches.

Hey Mallard Masher - isn't this the same buck we were looking at on another thread and tying to guess the age?

Good mass and length, average for width, probably gross in the 125-130 range, but net will be lower. P&Y all day long, but not a booner.

He was the buck that I was asking the age on, and his teeth very worn and missing, so probably on the back side as horn growth goes, he had a nice Roman snoze.

He's a lot more impressive in daylight photo.  You're a hell of a friend to let your buddy hunt that buck when you could have sat on him for another year (if he survived the season) and hunted a buck next year with potential that we could only begin to guess at what he might have become.   Sometimes genetically gifted bucks like these suddenly sprout droppers,  super mass, and/or other craziness.  Whatever the case, he's a great trophy.

Based on the photo, I'm only giving him one more year in my guesstimate from the other thread.  4.5 - 5.5 year old.  No real hint at the typical Roman nose of an old buck, and the eyes still appear to be that of a 3 - 5 year old.  I'm still not blown away with his body/chest.   Photos are deceiving,  what would you guess his weight was?  Let us know the answer if you get the tooth aged.

Congrats to your friend.  To me, that is a BT of a lifetime.  (I don't even consider fantasizing about seeing bucks like 3Nails and SkagitSteel kill.)
