Anyone near Rock Lake/HWY 23/SR195?....
« on: September 17, 2020, 05:02:52 AM »
So I was waiting around on a buddy to give me some contact info from a couple of the "hunt by written permission" properties east of Ritzville and north of Colfax. He told me today he must have lost the info as he cannot find it. The way it works from what he said is someone has to physically drive by the property and get the contact info from the sign there. I am hoping for one property in particular, but have another I would like to contact as well. I just hope its not too late for this year. One property is not far off HWY 23 near St. John. The other is east of 195 if I remember correctly, and a few miles north of the HWY 23 and SR 195 intersection.
If there is anyone around that area that would be willing to help me out by snagging the contact info off of the sign for me I would owe you one.
Just dont want to put anyone out though, just thinking if someone drives by there to or from work or such.
Thank ya much!

For some reason I thought that info was available on WDFWs website. Another option is to look at the county parcel maps to find the name of the owner then do some searching for contact info.
Good luck!

Thanks. I looked on the county's website and cant seem to find the maps or anything for the parcel. So might try OnX and go from there the same way if I have to

Believe these are pages looking for ...

WDFW - Hunting Private Lands
https://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/locations/private-lands#

Hunt by Written Permission ... Don't see "Rock Lake/HWY 23/SR195" on List, but could be different Road/Area Description?
https://privatelands.wdfw.wa.gov/private_lands/type/24/

Register to Hunt ... Have to setup On-Line Account ...

All the HuntWA Private Lands Hunt Access Info pinned here:
"WDFW Private Lands Hunting Access Programs (private lands open to hunting) New Started by bearpaw"
https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,145991.0.html

Thank ya, but that's the info I already have.
"Rock lake/hwy23/sr195" was my rough description of the area. I didn't specifically list the name of the private hunt lands I am looking at.
It's just from what I gather, you have to physically go there to get the contact info for the land owner for the "hunt by written permission " and am hoping someone might be in that area

Honestly your best bet is to actually drive there, get the info, call them then go and meet with them.
Buy them a cup of coffee or offer some type of help on their property
Way more successful than blind calling and asking out of the blue
One shot. One kill!
