Bow shops in NE Portland
« on: December 10, 2020, 11:50:44 AM »
My nephew in Oregon has been asking me a lot of Archery questions lately and I would like to help him with his first bow purchase but there is only so much you can do from afar.   He lives in Sandy OR so looking for a good Archery shop in that area or around NE Portland.  I did see an old post about Archery World in Vancouver and I see they have a shop in Troutdale.  So that is one shop I will probably have him check out.  He's in his late 20 and just had his first kid so money is a bit tight so would like to help him get all set up for under $500.  I had him measure his draw length and he says he's a 29".  Personally I think he might be longer, but I can only assume he did the measurements correctly as I wasn't there.

Anyway any help on pointing him to a good shop in the Portland area would be much appreciated.

TIA

I've had some dealings with this outfit over the years and they have always been top shelf (Rainier, OR... not far from Portland).  I know diddly about the Portland area except to stay away from it  ;).

Archery World is the closest to NE Portland and they do a fabulous job. They also helped me with expense discounts when I was mentoring a kid for 6 years, including a deep discount on a new bow for him during the last year. Joe, the owner, is a former Marine - helluva nice Jarhead. I won't be taking my business anywhere else, including online.

Hit up xxx the only shop I’ll deal with. I drive 2.5 each way to give them my business.
