Anyone ever have any luck getting Blacktails in the area between Rockport and Darrington off of Hwy 530?

Head up Illabot creek. Tons of area to hunt up there. Get yourself a map of the area. Spend a couple of weekends driving around and getting to know the area. My parents live between Hwy 530 and Concrete, across the one lane bridge. Lots of area to hunt up that way also.

lots of drunk drivers  >:(

I hiked all over in there and only ever saw one deer when I was driving through one day.

that is my only problem with Illabot creek.  most of the area is accessible from a road so you get a lot of road hunters driving through and making noise.

i try to bear hunt up there but have had no success.  i guess i am just a crappy hunter.

Gotta get off the roads. Find the end of a road and start hiking. Great Rewards.
