moose points?
« on: April 16, 2009, 08:55:11 AM »
a co-worker told me that she saw three illegal types trying to remove a dead moose from the back of a pickup the other day near her mothers house. she believes the moose was parted out at this neighbors home, but that the truck involved doesn't belong there. looks like when the truck returns they are gonna give me a call, so i can pass this on to WDFW.
question is: does anyone have experience with turning in a poaching event and obtaining bonus draw points. i'm gonna try and follow thru on this regardless, but if the points are there i want ta get 'em.

I've turned in several, but have never gotten any points for it.  Either they didn't pan out or I didn't ask for them :dunno:   The longer you wait though, the colder the case.

why wait?

Call them immediately. If they get a conviction you should get 10 points. Just make sure and use the points for deer...... elk are over rated. ;)

Just hope you get an officer who gives two *censored*s, otherwise don't count on the points. You can only get the points if there is a conviction.

Don't wait for them to return with the pickup.   If the moose is hanging in the garage, then that is the time you want to call?

Whether you get points or not, it is still worth the phone call.
