GMU advice for late deer season older hunter
« on: September 17, 2020, 07:33:00 AM »
A have an 83 year friend with whom I occasionally hunt. For 20 years he has hunted deer in Western Washington during the late general season. The opportunity he has had is not available this year due to coronavirus issues.

I’m going to look into potential opportunities for the late hunt in Eastern Washington. I see that GMU 124 is “any deer”. Given that he is probably just as happy with an antlerless deer, the other GMUs open for the late hunt appear to have more public land and private land opportunities as found on WDFW’s “Hunting access on private lands” web page: https://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/locations/private-lands

I’m willing to do the leg work but would appreciate hearing your thoughts on a starting point for which GMU to pursue.

Thank you.

Yes, and no permit. Limited mobility but he can walk short distances (maybe a mile).
