Leaving my elk hunting area this morning and ran into this guy.  Haven't shot a yote in a while and first kill with my new optima v2
beer---it's whats for dinner

I love muzzleloader coyotes. Especially when they are close enough where you smoke them 1st  :chuckle:

range was about 60 yards.  I stopped him with a lip squeak.  110 grains blackhorn powder and 250 grain hornady SST. pelt was great but yeah it was a big hole

Once again the Optima shows why it's one of the most underated smokepoles on the market.  Nice 'yote.  Hope ya can test that rifle out on some bigger game, too.   :tup:
