First, I think this is a great thing you are doing! It is always great when people are willing to share their resources with others. Honestly, I would like a little info about you.

1) You often reference "We" would that be a significant other, friend/family, or like, a mouse in your pocket?

2) Will you also be hunting the same areas? Do you expect to partner up with the person that comes along?

3) Chores? Like splitting wood and helping cook/clean? Or are you looking for labor in trade for a place to crash?

4) As others have asked. Do you have any history of success in the area?

Again, this is a fantastic offer but for people to want to get in on it I have a feeling they would like to know exactly what they are getting into.

Tagging. I live about 12 miles south of Coulee. Interested in how this turns out. Good luck to hunters who participate.

You keep calling the locals yuppies, yet you're from Duvall and you're inviting all comers on a public forum to come hunt an area.

There are some really good questions being asked.  Lots to consider when going hunting with someone for the first time.

We preach at hunter safety to choose your hunting partner wisely.  Good to see everyone asking so many questions.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I can just imagine how this will end.  If youve been around the block a few times, you know better.   :chuckle:

I have no stake in the game. I just wouldn't disparage the locals of any area I hunt if I plan on keeping the air in my tires.

I would hurt people that messed with my tires. Local or not.

I’d like the OP to put all of the details of this offer out there for all to see.
:fire.:

I have a first-time hunter I'm mentoring if another opportunity surfaces. Selfless offer, look forward to hearing how the hunt goes!

You would.

Hi Folks, long time lurker, first time poster. I promise in the future I will be more positive. This was just too good to pass up.

I live out here, and would like to give my perspective on this. First, it does not endear you to locals anywhere to insult them. This area is about as far from yuppies as you can get. It seems like you have never actually talked to a local.

-It is not true that “NO ONE” hunts this area. It is just like anywhere else.

-It is not true that “THEY CANNOT touch OUR public lands!!!” I don’t even know what that means. You all are welcome to come out here and touch all the public land you want.

-Yes, “lookj out” for the turkeys. Lookj, but don’t shoot! These GMUs are not open for fall turkey.

-So, what are we, rich yuppies or farmers? Not everyone out here has a ”Farmer’s fields” to hunt.

-This area is not some unheard-of gem that somehow hasn’t been touched. Just because it doesn’t have a huge internet presence doesn’t mean it is not heavily hunted. But thanks for that.

I am not trying to spook anyone off their right to know about and hunt public land, but feel it is worthwhile to share a more accurate picture of the area. If this offer is legit, it may be a rewarding hunt and worth your while. If this gal turns out to be a super-scary dude, barbeques you for dinner and eats your face, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

In conclusion, please stop calling the locals yuppies. Or farmers. Or whatever.
