Avalanche Gorge goat guys losing some access Monday
« on: October 07, 2020, 05:36:26 PM »
Heads up! Artist Point closing Monday, Oct. 12 for the winter. This is not due to snow, but a crumbling wall that is eroding.

Doesn't look like any engineering went into that brick wall.  Not surprised it is falling apart.

They should let me drive up to the wall and “redesign”
It for them :chuckle:

Oh well. It’s just an extra 3 miles.

3 extra miles of packing to the lucky few. Coats on the billies should be awesome

And way less day hikers. Earlier this year they had it closed due to a small patch of snow. It really limited how many people went all the way back, bc of that initial climb to the TH.

I know how to get closer tho those goats with less hiking than those 3 miles.😉

So if anyone has a tag on here I could help them.🤔
