Car window smashed Illabot creek road
« on: October 15, 2020, 09:19:39 AM »
Car window smashed and cell phone stolen parked on Illabot creek road while out on a walk with the dog. I'm not looking to get the phone back, just reporting to you folks. Forgot to bring the phone. Perp immediately signed the phone out and tried to gain access to key accounts.

Will emptying the car and leaving the doors unlocked and maybe leaving $5 or $10 cash in the console help? It seems like the these people want a bit more; A guy at the waterfowl meeting last night recently had his whole rig stolen at the Milltown ramp in Skagit. That included the vehicle and boat trailer.

Aggravating... Would love to catch one of these tweekers in the act.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm always looking for shrimp bait in bulk. Go through about 4000# a season (that's about 30 tweeker's worth, if they're power-users).

It seems to be a semi common thing anymore. We completely empty our vehicles of tempting items, however, I dont think that's always going to help. We frequent that area as well and it's always on my mind when I leave the vehicle.  I've been really thinking about setting up a game camera everytime I leave my vehicle, atleast then I might have a chance of catching the jerk(s).  With that said, I've been lucky, but its only a matter of time.

Sorry you got to experience that...Baker area has a bit of suspicious activity. We have found more than one stash in the past two years and homeless camps seem to be popping up more, I assume it's all related

I don't think an empty truck is insurance, but it helps.  If there is anything of value in sight, even if that is $10 or $20 worth of something, it is worth it to them.

Probably one pass through the wood chipper would be sufficient.

I caught a dude trying to knock my window out in September . Fired my pistol at him . Boy did he freak out. 4 sheriffs showed up as he went down a dead end. He pulled out as we were talking! They lost him in a chase.

Time to step up the "protection" level.    :chuckle:
