Camping in 672
« on: October 18, 2020, 06:49:40 PM »
Any late season bowhunters camp on, or near, the western edge of 672 want some convenient packing help?
.
Honestly, not asking for a "Honey Hole", or any secrets.
.
Actually, I am late ml season hunting 658..
.
Just been scouting, and all access (motorized) to public land will be locked after modern.
..
Having bounced around 672 when I was bowhunting years ago, I know there are places that allow camping.
I just cannot remember where..
Currently scouting area that I am hunting and the only places I can find to camp are not in unit, or northern part.
.
Other than Arctic, seems pretty limited.
.
Now, if it was just me, it's a 45 minute drive.
.
But I have friends that aren't so lucky...
.
Would rather do something other than "camp" in my backyard, and drive to Raymond.
.
Ideas, suggestions, or an invite?
.
Yes, I looked at maps.
Yes, onx.
But gates and signs tell their own story..
Nothing beats boots..
.
Don't want to waste time scouting an area I am not hunting...
But if I chase one across the border...
The mountains are calling and I must go."
